Notice of Official Burial Policy
- Communications Policy: Submission in itself of the interment request below does not constitute a scheduled or confirmed burial arrangement. Arrangements are only finalized upon the written acceptance of this specific Interment Request Form by an authorized cemetery representative.
Telephone calls, text messages, and in-person conversations are not binding.
- Documentation: Funeral Homes should inquire if family has a copy of the deed or documentation showing a claim to the lot. If no documentation is forthcoming, the Funeral Home should contact the cemetery with identifying information (lot owner name, others buried in the lot, etc.) so we may assist in locating the grave and verifying rightful claim.
- Opening of Graves: No grave will be opened, and no funeral service will be permitted to proceed, unless this form has been submitted and formal approval has been received.
- Notice Requirements:
Tuesday–Friday Burials: Minimum 72 hours notice prior to the service time is required. Exceptions will be made only for required religious observances or verified extenuating circumstances.
Monday Burials: Requests must be submitted no later than 12:00 PM the prior Thursday. Exceptions will be made only for required religious observances or verified extenuating circumstances.
